Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages Applicant Tracking System and hiring processes, assists with screening applicants. Completes initial interview screens (by phone or video).
  • Assists managers with applicant resume scrubbing process to identify qualified applicants.
  • Schedules and coordinates new hire start dates and New Hire Orientation/Onboarding with appropriate members of COMC staff and leadership.
  • Ensures completion of necessary onboarding paperwork, credentialing documentation, and hiring requirements prior to onboarding.
  • Prepares Personnel Action/Termination Forms for new and existing employees for department managers
  • Manages the onboarding training and orientation process for new employees
  • Completes and distributes new hire welcomes to all staff
  • Assists in maintaining/updating employee information in all HR related systems. Pulls reports as directed.
  • Assists in employee training assignments and tracking as required.
  • Manages employee benefit enrollment, adds team members into all benefits systems: Medical, dental, 401k; Life and short term/long term disability, COBRA (processes all benefit termination after separation).
  • Coordinates and oversees Aflac annual open enrollment.
  • File and organize employee paper files and electronic files and other confidential documents.
  • Develop and maintain work‑flow logs and other record‑keeping systems related to assigned functions.
  • Process employment verification requests from 3rd
  • Internal Transfer and Promotion notifications to all staff
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants, answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
  • Assists managers in facilitating the exit process for separated employees; provide recommendations on necessary actions as applicable.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with schools with relevant clinical programs (i.e. nursing, hygiene, dental, medical, etc.)
  • Attends job fairs/recruiting events as directed
  • Assists with staff coaching, corrective actions, and disciplinary actions as directed.
  • Participate in employee investigations and terminations as directed by the HR Director.
  • Plans and organizes company events and meetings as required.
  • Manages design, ordering, and distribution of COMC banded merchandise for staff.
  • Maintains staff shirt size tracking in coordination with COMC Marketing dept.
  • Oversees the company quarterly online store and distribution of staff purchases.
  • Creates and distributes company newsletter in collaboration with members of leadership
  • Prepares, submits, and tracks employee FMLA and Disability leave
  • Assists with creation and implementation of employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Assists managers in facilitating the exit process for separated employees; conduct exit interviews and provides feedback to the HR Director.
  • Assists with credentialing process for clinical staff
  • Assist in day‑to‑day human resources duties as directed
  • Comply with all company policies, state and federal regulations, and adhere to standards related to confidentiality of information and records.

Qualifications Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. One year of human resources experience in a business environment. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation, and benefits, and information systems. Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

Education and/or experience:

Degree in business, Human Resources or related field, or 5 years’ human resources experience in lieu of education required.

Language Skills

Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Communicating effectively in conversation and writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

Mathematical /Reasoning Ability

Basic math and accounting concepts. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Using logic and reasoning to identify solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This includes moderate physical effort consisting of occasionally lifting or moving over 35 pounds of weight.

Travel Requirement

To fulfill the responsibility of the position travel to all COMC locations will be required. Employee should have valid Missouri driver’s license. Overnight travel may also be required in specific incidences of training, conferences, etc.

Work Environment

Knowledge of, and compliance with, HIPAA and 340B regulations is required. Confidentiality of patient and employee information is mandatory. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hours are routine for the work week, usually 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
