Award Care at Saint Lucie is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team focused on building a supportive facility culture and employee-driven operations. The role emphasizes payroll, benefits and HR policy administration, plus recruitment activities to support staff growth.

The ideal candidate will have HR/payroll experience, familiarity with employment laws, and the ability to collaborate with department heads to onboard and train staff for successful program delivery.

Qualifications

  • Must have, at minimum, a high-school diploma.
  • College Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Health Care Management is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in HR/Payroll Administration.
  • At least one year of experience with recruitment and retention preferred.
  • Knowledge of administrative practices and policies as well as laws and guidelines pertaining to employment, wage and hour, and labor relations.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processing; Lawson, ADP, and PeopleNet system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform HR and payroll processing functions and support HR operations across benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy interpretation and implementation, recruitment, and labor relations compliance.
  • Maintain personnel files in accord with company standards and applicable guidelines.
  • Provide information and consultation on employment issues and HR policies.
  • Assist department heads with recruitment, hiring, and orientation/training for staff for facility programs and services.
  • Design and implement recruitment and retention programs for the care center.
