Gunnebo Group is seeking an HR Co-op intern to assist the Human Resources team with day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. The role provides hands-on experience in a professional HR environment while pursuing a relevant degree.

Responsibilities include recruitment support, benefits audits, onboarding, recordkeeping, and HR reporting. The internship emphasizes compliance, confidentiality, and collaboration across departments within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience working with supervisors and employees.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Previous internship or office experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
  • Monthly Audit of Benefit Invoices
  • Bi-weekly point report to Supervisors noting missing warnings
  • File employee files and organize terminated files
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
  • Help organize well‑being activities, employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics.
  • Provide administrative support for training and development initiatives.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and direct them to resources.
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
