Gilbane is seeking an HR Business Partner II to be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with local business partner and senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting/employment, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation and employment law compliance. This role will sit primarily in office.

Responsibilities


  • Investigate and resolve day-to-day employee relations problems, either directly or through advice to management

  • ManageCollege Hiring and Intern Programs (includes career fair attendanceand,interviewing and hiring candidates to meet Business Unit College graduate hiring goals.

  • Participate intherecruitmentprocess by discussing staffing needs with management,interviewing key hires and make recommendations tomanagementforhiring decisions

  • Participate in Staffing meetings to ensureworkforce planningdata is captured and updated to reflect current needs/availability

  • Provideadvice to managers on employee wages and salariesto administer the Salary Planning Process

  • Championthe annual performance appraisal processto ensure completion

  • Organize and conduct new hire orientation

  • Conduct Exit Interviews to develop Lessons Learned

  • Coordinate and participate in the annual Succession Planning process

  • Actively participate in Business Unit and Corporate HR Strategic plan initiatives

  • Maintain awareness of current and changing employment laws


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION



  • BS or MS degree

  • 5 to 8 years' human resource experience, or a master's degree in human resource management and two years' experience in the HR field

  • Or 7 years ofexperience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience

  • 3 years minimum of HRBP experience required

  • International Business Partner experience

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred but not required

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.


For California and Arizona this ranges from $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program. Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
