Job summary

EMD Serono, Inc. seeks an HR Business Partner to align HR strategies with business objectives and work closely with a broad HR team to guide policies, programs, and practices.

This role requires a proactive, collaborative approach to boost workforce engagement and organizational effectiveness. Onsite in Boston with travel '<15%'; US-based applicants only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; work experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience with business partnering, employee relations, and talent management.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

Your Role

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives. You will work closely with a variety of business leaders in close collaboration with the broader HR Business Partner team to provide expert guidance on HR policies, programs, and practices.

This position requires a proactive and collaborative approach to enhance workforce engagement and drive organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with existing HR Business Partner team and the business to understand their business needs and develop tailored HR strategies to support their objectives.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee lifecycle events, performance management, and talent development.
• Collaborate with HR centers of excellence to implement effective recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
• Analyze workforce trends and metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the development and implementation of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
• Facilitate change management initiatives and support organizational development efforts.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
• Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, fostering a positive workplace culture.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on business partnering, employee relations, and talent management.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven track record of influencing and driving change within an organization.

Location

Onsite - Boston, minimum 3 days per week. Must be US based.

Pay range for this position

$114,300.00 - $171,500.00

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
