Job summary

Cohere is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support our Tech organization through a high-growth phase. You’ll partner with engineering and research leaders to design scalable org structures, coach leaders, and drive talent strategies across distributed teams.

You’ll operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where ownership matters and cross-functional alignment is essential for sustaining our growth trajectory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an HRBP or People Partner.
• Experience partnering with Engineering or Research teams.
• Experience in a startup, scale-up or high-growth environment.
• Experience supporting distributed teams and leaders globally.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has strong HRBP experience: 5+ years as an HRBP or People Partner

• Knows technical organizations: Has partnered with Engineering, Research, or similarly technical teams

• Has scaled: Has worked in a startup, scale-up, or other high-growth environment

• Thinks globally: Has supported distributed teams and leaders

• Writes exceptionally well: Clear, concise written communication is core to how we operate and influence

• Is pro-team: Collaborative, low-ego, and invested in making the whole team better
