HR Business Partner

C-Care Mauritius is currently looking for a HR Business Partner.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic partner to operational and functional leaders, aligning human resources initiatives with business objectives to drive organizational performance. The incumbent will provide expert guidance on employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, organizational development, and change management while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

What you will be doing
  • Partner with department heads and managers to understand business objectives and develop HR solutions that support operational goals.
  • Provide strategic and operational HR advice to management on people-related matters.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives to ensure optimal staffing levels and workforce capability.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate and support recruitment activities to ensure timely filling of vacancies.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing requirements and workforce needs.
  • Support onboarding and integration programs to facilitate successful employee assimilation.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and ensure adherence to agreed turnaround times.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and provide guidance on disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints, misconduct, and workplace concerns.
  • Support disciplinary hearings and ensure compliance with internal policies and employment legislation.
  • Promote positive employee relations and foster a culture of respect, accountability, and engagement.
  • Drive the performance management process, including objective setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Support managers in addressing performance gaps through coaching, counselling, and performance improvement plans.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, retention, and organizational culture.
  • Assist in the implementation of change management and organizational development programs.
  • Analyze employee feedback and recommend actions to improve employee experience and workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and HR procedures.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and employee documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics to support decision-making.
  • Participate in HR audits, accreditation exercises, and compliance reviews.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies and processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years' progressive HR experience.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector or a multi-site operational environment would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Mauritian employment legislation and HR best practices.
