Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Compensation HR Analyst to support the Compensation team with data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. You will act as a super-user, generate analytical reports, identify data trends, and present recommendations to management based on thorough data analysis.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least three years in project management, IT, BI, or related fields.

  • Three years project management, information technology, business intelligence, decision science or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for HR data and end-user needs including researching and resolving system end-user functional problems, unexpected results or process flaws, and access to vendor systems.
  • Generates reports and queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Partners with HR management and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. Serves as a super-user point-of-contact and vendor liaison for department, as appropriate.
  • Contributes towards improvement of department scores for employee engagement, i.e. peer-to-peer accountability.
  • Analyzes data from multiple databases in support of department needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data. Maintains compliance documents and generate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for management.
  • Manages simple-to moderately-complex project/process improvement under the supervision of management.

At Houston Methodist, the Compensation Human Resources (HR) Analyst is responsible for supporting the Compensation team and its clients through simple to moderately complex workflow processes. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency by accurately assessing and addressing the needs of customers, team members, and management.

Serving as a super-user and primary point of contact within the designated functional area, the analyst will generate analytical reports, identify data trends, and present recommendations to management based on thorough data analysis.

Additional responsibilities include assisting subject matter experts with maintaining data integrity, conducting system testing as needed, and analyzing data flows to identify opportunities for process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree or additional four years of experience (in addition to the minimum experience requirements listed below) in lieu of degree
EXPERIENCE
  • Three years project management, information technology, business intelligence, decision science or related experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS (Preferred)
  • PHR - Professional in Human Resources (HRCI) or
  • SPHR - Senior Professional in Human Resources (SHRM) or
  • PMP - Certified Project Management Professional (PMI) or
  • CAPM - Certified Associate In Project Mgmt

  • Identifies and facilitates resolution of issues that arise during a project. Compares data from different sources to draw conclusions. Assists with tasks identified by management to support system maintenance efforts, as appropriate.
