Job summary

PackGene Biotech in Houston is seeking a Quality Control Specialist - HPLC to join our Quality department and support cGMP analytical activities.

You will operate and maintain HPLC instruments, execute assays, and contribute to documentation, sample management, and cross-functional collaboration under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a bioscience degree and 1–2 years with HPLC, strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in bioscience, chemistry or related field.
• 1–2 years’ experience working with HPLC operation is preferred.
• Working knowledge of cell culture, AAV and GxP-based laboratory setting and regulatory guidance is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and drive for success.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments under defined protocols under supervision of QC/AD scientist.
• Execute analytical assays on HPLC instruments and perform instruments maintenance.
• Plan lab activities ensuring equipment readiness and reagents availability.
• Maintain an accurate sample inventory and proper documentation practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely receipt and testing of samples.
• Coach and train staff as needed.
