Actalent is hiring an Analytical Chemist to provide support for product development and service labs within medical device and pharmaceutical contexts. The role involves using lab instruments to analyze materials for identification, classification, and defect analysis, with work performed in a GMP environment.

The position is onsite in Minneapolis, MN on a contract-to-hire basis, offering a pay range of $30.00–$37.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Materials Science.
• 1+ years of Analytical Chemistry experience (academic or industry).

*Our agency consistently hires for analytical chemists within the medical device, pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries. Our clients include Medtronic, General Mills, Boston Scientific, Abbott, 3M, and numerous other mid-size/start-up companies.*

We hire all skills sets (Lab Technicians, Chemists, Scientists, Lab Management, Quality Assurance, etc.)

Job Description

Provide analytical chemistry support for product development and service engineers to support their media and hardware labs as well as other facilities analytical chemistry needs. In this role, one would utilize lab instruments to analyze raw materials and finished products for identification, classification, and defect analysis

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis and sample preparation


• Properly document and share results with the team


• Maintain and troubleshoot instruments as needed


• Create new and validate existing methods as necessary


• Comply with all regulations (FDA, EHS, etc) in a GMP lab environment


• Analytical equipment used (dependent upon the specific position)- chromatography (HPLC, GC, GC/FID, GC/MS), FTIR, UV Vis

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
