Job summary

Cymertek is seeking an HPC Cloud Performance Engineer to optimize HPC workloads in cloud environments, analyze performance data, and implement scaling strategies for efficient resource use.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud HPC systems, performance profiling tools, and scripting for automation, with a focus on scalable, reliable performance across distributed architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; most contracts allow substantial experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with high-performance computing environments and cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of parallel algorithms and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with containerization and cluster management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize HPC workloads in cloud environments.
• Benchmark cloud performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Implement dynamic resource scaling strategies for cost and performance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and report on performance issues.
• Develop quantitative performance metrics and dashboards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy improvements.
