Compass Group USA's Chartwells K-12 division in Houston seeks a full-time Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef with cooking, kitchen supervision, and daily menu execution at Kipp Houston facility. Responsibilities include following recipes, supervising cooks, maintaining food safety, coordinating with service staff, and ensuring deadlines.

This role requires culinary experience and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates and coordinates kitchen activities.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Ensures proper food handling and serving temperatures.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
