Job summary

HardHat Workforce Solutions seeks an Electrical Estimator for a Houston, TX team. The estimator will manage the full estimating process for commercial and hospital projects, from quantity takeoffs to tender completion.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in electrical estimating, proficiency with Accubid, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to interact with clients and internal teams. Relocation and a comprehensive benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a construction estimator in electrical contracting.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid and online bid portals.
• Certifications such as CQE are a plus.
• Proven experience estimating electrical components of projects.
• Strong analytical, cost evaluation, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret complex project plans and specs.
• Detail-oriented with ability to justify final estimates.

Responsibilities

• Produce precise estimates of material and labor costs for electrical elements of projects.
• Prepare and send out accurate electrical estimates and tender documentation.
• Analyze quotes for electrical materials and labor costs; negotiate for value.
• Evaluate technical requirements and estimating costs to set prices and margins.
• Create and deliver estimates/quotations to potential customers in line with needs.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager, Subcontractors, Engineers, and Development Managers during tender process.
• Utilize estimating software such as Accubid and online bid portals for submissions.
• Review and evaluate bids, liaise with clients, and meet project deadlines.
• Review project plans and requirements for cost breakdowns and scope.
