Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission seeks a Housing Program Specialist V to lead advanced policy and administration work related to housing for individuals with mental health challenges. This role includes facilitating transitions from state hospitals to community housing options and guiding complex program design.

The position requires strong analytical and writing skills, with responsibility for coordinating trainings, monitoring expenditures, and elevating issues to management

Responsibilities

• Oversees administration of housing projects and provides technical assistance to providers.
• Manage grant projects, monitor expenditures and performance measures.
• Develop and implement program systems, processes, and forms; ensure compliance.
• Draft communications and represent program at meetings; coordinate conferences.
• Coordinate solicitations and ensure adherence to grant requirements and contracts.
