Job summary

Ace Hardware’s Forest Lake store is seeking outgoing, friendly team members to welcome and assist customers. The Sales Associate will help with receiving, stocking, and maintaining a clean presentation in the sales area.

Previous retail experience is highly preferred, and applicants must have evening and weekend availability to be considered. The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy at the register, and helping customers find products with a friendly, helpful attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive representation of Forest Lake Ace Hardware.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Inform customers about Ace Rewards program benefits, Ace Hardware app, and help them sign up when needed.
• Accurately ring up products, give accurate change, and handle customer returns according to store policy.
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
