Job summary

Palihouse Santa Barbara is seeking a meticulous Houseperson to maintain pristine common areas and support guest comfort. You will keep hallways, lobbies, and restrooms tidy, sanitised, and welcoming, contributing to a consistently high standard of hospitality.

Responsibilities include cleaning rugs, floors, walls, and windows; handling linens; delivering items to guest rooms; and reporting any furniture damage. A positive, guest-focused attitude and flexible schedule are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of and passion for hospitality, with a hands-on, guest-service-oriented approach.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning products.
• Flexible schedule, able to work a variety of shifts.

• Clean and maintain rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, and wash walls, ceilings, and windows as needed.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors, and dust and polish metalwork throughout common areas.
• Manage linens — collecting soiled linen, restocking supplies, and maintaining housekeeping closets on each floor.
• Remove trash collected by Room Attendants, walking assigned floors at the start and end of each shift.
• Deliver towels, cribs, roll‑away beds, and other items to guest rooms upon request.
• Inspect furniture condition and report any damage to your supervisor for repair.
• Maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor and follow uniform guidelines.

POSITION PROFILE

Required
