Job summary

Kalahari Resorts LLC is seeking a Houseperson to help maintain guest corridors, rooms, and service areas in our expansive resort environment. You will deliver items to guest rooms, stock housekeeping closets, and support room attendants to ensure pristine guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience with properties (hotels/resorts) with 500+ rooms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items to guest rooms, keep closets stocked and assist room attendants when needed.
• Use daily checklists to complete cleaning projects around elevators, ash urns, glass tables, furniture, ice machines and floors.
• Walk assigned floors at shift start and end; remove newspapers, trays, ash urns, trash and note areas needing cleaning.
• Maintain housekeeping closets; keep them clean and orderly and inform supervisor of low inventory of amenities.
• Be familiar with proper guest room cleaning procedures and assist room attendants when needed.

Houseperson

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Houseperson . In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest corridors, elevators, guest accommodations, and all other assigned or expected areas. They are responsible for delivering items to guest rooms such as luggage, irons, coffee, special requests, etc.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love —guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure a safe environment for guests and fellow associates.

$14-$16/ hr

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver items to guest rooms, keep housekeeping closets clean and stocked and assist room attendants when needed by stripping beds, running linen and cleaning rooms
• Use daily checklists to complete cleaning projects such as: elevator lobbies, ash urns, glass tables, furniture, ice machines, vending machines, elevator doors/frames, service landings, linen closets, stairwells, and polish floors.
• Walk assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers, trays, empty ash urns, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning
• Maintain housekeeping closets keeping them clean and orderly and advise supervisor of low inventory of amenity items.
• Be familiar with proper guest room cleaning procedures and assist room attendants with cleaning when needed.
