Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, housekeeping, or custodial roles is a plus, but training is available.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the team: keep Room Attendant carts stocked with linens and supplies.
• Managing linen & trash: transport dirty items to laundry and waste areas.
• Maintaining public & staff areas: sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize spaces.
• Guest requests: deliver towels, linens, or rollaway beds promptly.
• Deep cleaning & special projects: assist with seasonal tasks and storage organization.
• Safety first: report maintenance needs or hazards to supervision.

Job description

We're looking for a dependable, energetic Houseperson to join our Housekeeping team! If you enjoy staying active on your feet, helping teammates, and ensuring our hotel guests have a great experience, this role is a perfect fit.

As a Houseperson, you are the ultimate team player behind the scenes. You'll keep our floors stocked, assist Room Attendants with heavier lifting, keep public spaces spotless, and step in to deliver extra items like fresh towels or rollaway beds when guests need them.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting The Team: Keep Room Attendant carts stocked with fresh linens and supplies throughout the day so they can focus on turning rooms quickly.
• Managing Linen & Trash: Transport dirty linens and trash from the floor down to the laundry/waste areas.
• Maintaining Public & Staff Areas: Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize common areas like vending zones, hallways, floor closets, and public restrooms.
• Guest Requests: Deliver items like extra pillows, linens, or rollaway beds directly to guest rooms in a friendly, timely manner.
• Deep Cleaning & Special Projects: Help with seasonal or deep cleaning tasks, flipping heavy mattresses, and keeping storage spaces tidy and organized.
• Safety First: Keep any eye out for Maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them to your supervisor right away.

What We're Looking For:

• Skills: Basic reading, writing, and simple math skills.
• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with team members and guests.
• Experience: Previous hotel, Housekeeping, or Custodial experience is a plus, but we are happy to train anyone with a great attitude and strong work ethic!
• Team Mindset: Willingness to jump in, help coworkers, and keep communication open across departments.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to life or carry items up to 75 LBS and push carts or equipment weighing up to 300 LBS.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and moving around the property for the duration of your shift.
• Frequent handling of cleaning tools, equipment, and linens.

This property is located on a US Military Installation. Successful completion of a Federal Background check, conducted by the Installation Visitor's Center, will be required to access the installation. This is necessary in order to come to the hotel for an interview for this position. If hired, this background check will be required to be renewed annually at minimum. DOD sponsored ID holders are not subject to this process.
