Job summary

Oldham Goodwin Group is seeking a Houseman to maintain hospitality standards by assisting housekeeping, delivering amenities, and preparing guest spaces. The role includes setting up and striking banquet rooms, moving furniture, and assisting the banquet team to ensure smooth events.

You will greet guests, help with linen and amenity delivery, and keep corridors and public areas clean. A flexible AM/PM shift schedule and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Must perform each essential duty to hotel/brand standards.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Available to work flexible schedule including AM/PM shifts and weekends.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Open to cross-training and assisting in other departments as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Clean all corridors, service areas, meeting spaces, and main lobby areas.
• Move and arrange furniture, including flipping mattresses; removing, moving, or hanging drapes.
• Clean laundry chute of any dirty laundry.
• Provide necessary linen and amenities to guests per guest room legend.
• Greet guests with a friendly welcome.
• Report damage, hazards, repairs required in guest rooms and hallways.
• Follow MSDS regulations when using chemicals.
• Return items found in vacant rooms to the housekeeping lost and found.
• Restock cart and organize linen closet for the next day.
• Develop thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, and amenities.
• Set up banquet meeting rooms and assist banquet captain as directed.

DescriptionResponsible for maintaining and promoting hospitality at all times; welcoming and serving our guests in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner. The Houseman will be responsible for assisting the housekeeping attendants in removal of linens, cleanliness of our guest room, hallways, and public areas. They will be responsible for stripping rooms and the cleaning of all dirty linens for the hotel. They will responsible for delivering amenities upon guest’s request.
