Job summary

Pier House Resort & Spa, part of Schulte Hospitality Group, seeks a dynamic Houseperson to support our housekeeping team in Key West. This full-time role offers a flexible, people-focused workplace with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities include maintaining public areas, assisting with guest room upkeep, and supporting nightly operations. Candidates should have at least a year in housekeeping and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School education minimum.
• At least 1 year in a housekeeping role.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented with guest-first mindset.
• Familiarity with cleanliness standards and safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all hotel public areas and restrooms to quality standards.
• Strip linen and trash from guest rooms when needed.
• Clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum, mop floors.
• Empty carts of soiled linen and dispose trash.
• Deliver items to rooms and assist with room cleaning as needed.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans and maintains all hotel public areas, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc. to meet quality standards.
• When necessary, strip guest rooms of linen and trash
• Cleans bathrooms, dusts furniture and pictures, vacuums, sweeps and mops floors
• Empties carts of soiled linen and disposes trash
• Removes spots, insects and debris, polishes fixtures and cleans ashtrays
• Delivers items to rooms upon request and assists in cleaning guest rooms as needed
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education
• Minimum of one (1) year in Housekeeping role

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Team player
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests
• Knowledge of cleanliness standards
