Raines Co. in Columbia, SC is seeking a Houseperson to maintain the cleanliness of hotel common areas, assist room attendants, and support a welcoming guest experience.

You will sweep, mop, vacuum, restock supplies, and report maintenance needs while following health and safety rules; minimum HS diploma and prior housekeeping experience preferred. We value teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial environments is preferred.
• Ability to follow health and safety guidelines.

Position Summary: The Houseperson is responsible with maintaining the overall cleanliness of the common areas of the hotel.

Essential Job Functions

• Greeting guests and responding to requests
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment in common areas
• Cleaning and maintaining common areas of the hotel such as lobbies, stairwells, fitness centers, offices, bathrooms, meeting spaces and restaurant spaces
• Assisting room attendants as needed, stripping rooms, bringing supplies, taking out garbage
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Vacuuming carpets
• Dusting and polishing furniture
• Emptying trash containers
• Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs
• Restocking cleaning cart and/or supplies
• Follow all health and safety rules
• Attends meetings as required

Experience And Education

• Experience housekeeping, janitorial, or similar in a hotel or commercial environment
• Experience cleaning in a customer focused environment
• Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
