Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Lead Houseperson for the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington to ensure clean, welcoming guest rooms and public areas. You will help prepare rooms for new guests, manage cleaning tasks, restock items, and maintain overall hotel tidiness.

The role requires physical stamina, a commitment to service excellence, and at least 18 years old with prior hotel housekeeping experience. Benefit-rich position with growth opportunities within Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

• Must be punch in, in proper uniform, and ready to work as scheduled.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of one year in a hotel housekeeping department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by reacting promptly and courteously to requests.
• Deliver clean linens to and from guest floors per occupancy needs.
• Remove garbage, cots, cribs and dishware from guest floors and return to designated locations.
• Carry out specialized cleaning projects such as carpet and upholstery cleaning, windows, etc.
• Move guest room furniture as required by guests and supervisor.
• Support housekeeping team efforts as directed.

What will you be doing?

• Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by reacting promptly, efficiently, and courteously to all requests.
• Take responsibility for all chemicals and equipment assigned.
• Deliver clean linens to and from the guest floors in response to occupancy and supervisor’s requirements.
• Remove all garbage, cots, cribs and dishware from the guest floors and return to their designated locations.
• Carry out specialized cleaning projects to approved level of competency and productivity, such as carpet and upholstery cleaning, windows and ice machine cleaning etc.
• Move guest room furniture to and from guest rooms as required by the guest and supervisor.
• Support work efforts of other Housekeeping associates, as directed.
• Follow appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms and appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

• Must be punched in, in proper uniform, and ready to work as scheduled.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, stretch, and use a vacuum and carry their equipment on a regular and extended basis.
• Must be a reliable, responsible conduit between the associates and the management.
• Minimum of one year in a hotel housekeeping department preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge of the housekeeping policies and procedures, room cleaning procedures, chemical usage and handling and equipment usage and handling.

Pay Estimate: $17.00-$18.00/Hour
