Job summary

Lakewood Country Club seeks a dedicated Housekeeping Houseman to maintain exceptional cleanliness and comfort across the club facilities. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to perform heavy cleaning, and a team-oriented mindset to support housekeeping staff and events.

Primary duties include deep-cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing and window washing, moving and staging furniture for events, and assisting with laundry duties.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in hospitality, country club, or commercial setting is highly preferred.
• Proven experience operating carpet cleaning machines, extractors, and pressure washers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special deep-cleaning projects across the property.
• Maintain pristine cleanliness in public areas, storage rooms, and exterior parking lot.
• Move and arrange furniture and heavy equipment to support club events and daily operations.
• Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor.
• Operate specialized machinery safely according to club safety regulations.

Job Description: Housekeeping Houseman

Lakewood Country Club is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Houseman to join our Housekeeping Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the exceptional cleanliness, aesthetic standards, and comfort of our club facilities for Members and guests. This role requires a blend of heavy-duty cleaning capabilities, physical stamina, and a strong team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Heavy Cleaning & Maintenance

• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special deep-cleaning projects across the property.
• Perform deep-cleaning tasks as needed, including carpet shampooing, floor buffing, and washing windows.
• Maintain pristine cleanliness in all public areas, storage rooms, and the exterior parking lot.

Logistics & Support

• Move and arrange furniture and heavy equipment to support club events, dining setups, and daily operations.
• Support housekeeping staff with routine tasks and room turnovers during peak operational hours.
• Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clean linens.

Safety & Quality Control

• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor.
• Operate specialized machinery safely and in accordance with club safety regulations.
• Follow health and safety guidelines regarding the use of chemical cleaning agents and equipment.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical & Experience Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience in a hospitality, country club, or commercial setting is highly preferred.
• Proven experience operating carpet cleaning machines, extractors, and pressure washers.

Physical & Personal Attributes

• Physical stamina and mobility, including the absolute ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
