Position Summary

The Houseman supports the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. At a resort, the role also helps ensure a relaxed, high-quality guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver linens, towels, and supplies to housekeeping staff
• Clean and maintain public areas (lobby, walkways, restrooms, pool areas, beach access points)
• Remove trash, dirty linens, and recycling from guest rooms and service areas
• Assist room attendants with tasks such as stripping beds and restocking carts
• Set up and break down furniture for events or guest needs
• Ensure housekeeping storage areas are clean and organized
• Report maintenance issues (plumbing, lighting, AC, etc.) to the appropriate department
• Respond quickly to guest requests (extra towels, toiletries, etc.)
• Help maintain outdoor areas, which may include light sweeping or tidying beachfront spaces
