Responsibilities

Working Supervisor manages, directs and trains Housekeeping personnel in the performance of general or specialized cleaning and other related duties. Should have operational knowledge of all required specialized cleaning functions. Working supervisors can work a variety of shifts including AM, PM & GY. The working supervisor in Housekeeping has several responsibilities

• Must be able to work with a variety of computer programs
• Must be able to work all shifts – AM, PM & GY
• Coordinates various projects for the housekeeping department within the hotel
• Assists in the direct supervision and instruction of housekeeping personnel. Prepares various reports and performs other administration functions. Has direct responsibility for the maintenance of assigned areas.
• Purchases routine, repetitive items, including housekeeping supplies, cleaning products, guest amenities and equipment via Birchstreet
• Works closely with receiving department to receive housekeeping deliveries and checks against requisition for housekeeping deliveries
• Works with Accounting and vendors on invoice and payment discrepancies
• Supervises and maintains various housekeeping storage areas
• Assists with inventories and maintenance of machines and equipment. Coordinating repair calls for machines and radios.
