Job summary

ViziRecruiter, LLC is seeking a hospital housekeeping professional to clean patient rooms, corridors, and common areas while meeting Medical Center cleanliness standards. You will document specialty cleaning areas and assist with emergencies.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, knowledge of cleaning and sterilization techniques, and willingness to work weekends during the first two years.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and sterilization techniques and procedures.
• Completion of an appropriate work training program preferred.
• Annual assessment – OHS.
• Fit test – OHS.

Responsibilities

• Clean hospital premises utilizing specified cleansing techniques and chemicals while adhering to specified time frame.
• Ensure assigned areas meet Medical Center cleanliness standards and are completed on a timely basis.
• Clean patient rooms, including tables and other surfaces; adhere to specified time frame and ensure assigned areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Perform discharge preparation of rooms, remove linen and non‑clinical items such as IV poles and commodes.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment; clean Venetian blinds, windowsills, cabinets, closets; dust walls, baseboards, and doors.
• Arrange and rearrange furniture before and after cleaning.
• Wash bathtubs, sinks, tiles, toilets and fixtures; replenish disposable items such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Sweep, mop, burnish rooms and corridors; vacuum appropriate areas.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles and wastepaper baskets; gather and dispose of refuse; bag and box red‑bag waste and remove to designated areas.
• Keep the housekeeping supply closet in good order; request cleaning supplies as needed.
• Provide appropriate documentation for specialty cleaning areas such as OR, Cath Lab, Pharmacy, and Endoscopy.
• Assist with floods, snow, and other emergencies.
• Work every weekend for the first two years.
