Job summary

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is seeking a Full-Time PM Shift Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team, ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards, and collaborate with Front Office to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires at least one year of supervisory experience in a hotel or resort, strong English communication, and a commitment to safety and quality. PM shift with weekends/holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
• Hotel or resort housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of guest room cleaning procedures and equipment.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to lead and coach a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for full-time PM shift, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is seeking a Full-Time PM Shift Housekeeping Supervisor to support the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, this position is responsible for supervising housekeeping team members, maintaining guest room and public area cleanliness standards, conducting inspections, supporting the training and development of new housekeepers, and partnering with Front Office and other departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a critical role in upholding the high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service that define the Ponte Vedra experience while helping ensure guest rooms are prepared for arrivals and resort standards are consistently maintained.

The Day-to-Day

• Provide daily supervision, direction, and support to housekeeping team members within assigned areas.
• Assist with the training and development of new housekeepers.
• Promote high standards of professionalism, appearance, courtesy, and guest service.
• Inspect cleaned departure rooms and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
• Inspect vacant rooms to ensure readiness for arriving guests.
• Establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness, appearance, and repair for guest rooms and public areas.
• Assign and monitor the use of clean-air machines as needed.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest accommodations, patios, public spaces, and surrounding exterior areas.
• Monitor building and grounds appearance and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Ensure hallways, banisters, windows, and other guest-facing areas remain clean and presentable.
• Coordinate with Porters and Window Washers regarding cleaning and maintenance needs.
• Review daily room assignments, room status information, and special requests to ensure guest expectations are met.
• Complete required room reports and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare and organize housekeeping worksheets and daily work assignments.
• Partner closely with Front Desk team members to prioritize room turnover and ensure guest rooms are ready for arrivals by 3:00 p.m.
• Monitor end-of-shift procedures and ensure carts, supplies, and work areas are properly cleaned, organized, and secured.
• Maintain knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and proper chemical labeling procedures.
• Attend required training programs, departmental meetings, and safety courses.
• Report safety concerns immediately and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts as business needs require.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Assistant Director of Housekeeping.

What Sets You Apart

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience required.
• Hotel or resort housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of guest room cleaning procedures, housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemical handling practices.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English sufficiently to communicate effectively with guests, members, and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to lead, coach, and support team members in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Availability to work a full-time PM shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts as business needs require.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while moving at a consistent pace.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 35 pounds, including cleaning supplies, equipment, and vacuum cleaners.
• Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and wear required personal protective equipment.
