AvantStay, Inc. is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for our Sense28 hotel in Miami. You will oversee housekeeping quality, ensure rooms are cleaned, inspected, and ready on time, and uphold AvantStay guidelines and checklists.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, with strong organizational skills, able to identify issues, coordinate priorities, and report to the General Manager. Previous housekeeping supervision experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience with a focus on quality standards.
• Experience inspecting rooms or supporting housekeeping operations preferred.
• Availability for a flexible, full-time schedule including weekends.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to identify cleanliness issues and ensure corrective actions.
• Clear communication to coordinate priorities with the GM.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily housekeeping operations to ensure timely room readiness.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning to verify cleanliness, presentation and quality.
• Identify issues and ensure prompt resolution before guest check-in.
• Ensure procedures and service sequences are followed efficiently.
• Coordinate daily priorities to keep cleaning and inspections on schedule.
• Maintain general cleanliness in rooms per AvantStay standards.
• Report stock levels of consumables and cleaning supplies.
• Complete daily job lists, inspections, and required paperwork accurately.
• Communicate progress and concerns to the General Manager.

What we are looking for…

An organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping quality and ensure rooms at our Sense28 hotel in Miami are cleaned, inspected, and ready on time. This person will have a strong understanding of housekeeping procedures and be responsible for ensuring that cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and consistently according to AvantStay guidelines, service sequences, and inspection checklists. The ideal candidate is diligent, accountable, and proactive, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

What you’ll do…

• Monitor daily housekeeping operations to ensure rooms are cleaned and ready within the required timeframes.

• Inspect hotel rooms after cleaning to verify that cleanliness, presentation, and overall quality meet AvantStay standards and inspection checklists.

• Identify any cleaning issues or missed details and ensure they are addressed promptly before rooms are considered ready for guests.

• Ensure housekeeping procedures and service sequences are followed consistently and efficiently.

• Help coordinate daily housekeeping priorities to keep room cleaning and inspections on schedule.

• Maintain general cleanliness throughout hotel rooms, including vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping, according to AvantStay standards and guidelines, as needed.

• Remove trash, recycling, and compost from receptacles throughout the rooms, as needed.

• Clean, sanitize, and replace liners in trash and recycling bins, as needed.

• Replace linens found in the rooms, such as bedding, sheets, and towels (laundry service is done offsite, so you will have clean linens available), as needed.

• Report any issues in rooms, including damages, maintenance needs, and/or security concerns.

• Comply with health and safety regulations and act in line with company policies and licensing laws.

• Monitor and report stocking levels of consumables and cleaning supplies.

• Complete daily job lists, inspections, and all required paperwork accurately and on time.

• Communicate housekeeping progress, inspection findings, and any operational concerns to the General Manager.

• Other duties as necessary.

Requirements

What you’ll bring…

• Previous housekeeping experience, with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and quality standards; experience inspecting rooms or supporting housekeeping operations is preferred.

• Availability to work a flexible, full-time schedule as necessary, including weekends.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and ensure rooms are completed on schedule.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify cleanliness issues and ensure they are corrected.

• A dependable, proactive, and accountable approach to work, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and follow through on tasks.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate housekeeping priorities and report issues to the General Manager.

• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
