Job summary

Dawson Manor Health & Rehab is hiring for a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor. You will plan and direct the Housekeeping Department, supervise staff, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety within the facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize and direct Housekeeping Department functions (including personnel and administrative tasks).
  • Establish and maintain effective inter-departmental communication to provide positive working relationships.
  • Supervise housekeeping techniques and staff with fair, uniform corrective actions.
  • Maintain staffing patterns in accord with budgets and assist with annual center budget prep.
  • Greet new patients upon admission and provide support as needed; assist with emergencies as necessary.
  • Contribute to system image through servant leadership and open communication.

Responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor, answers questions when appropriate in a professional manner.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA high school diploma or its equivalent preferred.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the supervision of the housekeeping department associates.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format.
