Job summary

The Barnett in New Orleans seeks a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily operations across guest rooms and public areas, ensuring cleanliness and brand standards.

You will train and coach staff, monitor inventory and scheduling, and partner with other hotel teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant historic setting near the French Quarter.

Previous supervisory experience in hotel housekeeping and familiarity with PMS tools such as HotSOS, OnQ, or Opera is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hospitality coursework or certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year housekeeping experience in a hotel.
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Experience with housekeeping software or PMS systems (HotSOS, OnQ, Opera, etc.) a plus.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and brand standards. This role supports staff training, inspections, supply control, and efficient departmental operations while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Hospitality coursework or certification preferred.

Experience Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment. Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred. Experience with housekeeping software or PMS systems (HotSOS, OnQ, Opera, etc.) a plus.

Skills & Knowledge Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and chemical handling. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
