Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and quality standards are maintained throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, managing supplies, and ensuring an exceptional level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support housekeeping staff including room attendants, housepersons, and laundry personnel.
• Assign daily cleaning schedules and inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas for cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards.
• Ensure all rooms are cleaned and inspected in a timely manner, especially during high occupancy.
• Address and resolve guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
• Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to reinforce standards and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory; submit requisitions as needed.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards in guest rooms and public areas to the appropriate department.
• Ensure compliance with hotel brand standards, health and safety regulations, and cleanliness protocols.
• Coordinate with the front desk and maintenance teams to ensure smooth communication and operations.
• Support housekeeping staff during peak times or shortages by assisting with cleaning duties if necessary.
