Sun Outdoors Jellystone Park Petoskey in Michigan is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for a seasonal, full-time role through October 31, 2026. The position combines hands-on cleaning with frontline leadership to maintain high resort standards across cabins, bathhouses, laundry areas and common spaces.

You will oversee a small team, train and schedule staff, inspect facilities, and respond quickly to guest needs while ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physically active tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a small housekeeping team, including training, scheduling, and daily task assignments.
• Inspect cabins, restrooms, and common facilities to ensure cleanliness meets resort standards.
• Provide coaching and support to team members to improve efficiency and quality.
• Clean and prepare cabins between guest stays, including linens, surfaces, kitchens, and bathrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathhouses, laundry rooms, and common areas.
• Restock linens, toiletries, and cleaning supplies.
• Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishment.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping.
• Ensure quick turnaround of cabins for check-ins.
• Help maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere throughout the resort.
• Ensure staff follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
• Maintain proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Position Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations for the park's cabins, bathhouses, laundry areas, and common spaces. This role involves both supervisory duties and hands-on cleaning. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and able to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This is a seasonal position that runs through October 31, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Leadership
