Job summary

The Seahorse Oceanfront Inn in Neptune Beach, FL, is seeking a full-time housekeeping supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations and staff. You will inspect guest rooms and public areas, coordinate cleaning tasks, and train new associates to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the property.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hotel housekeeping with leadership experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Every room is oceanfront with direct access to the courtyard, pool and lounge area. Located in the heart of the beautiful Beaches Town Center, the Beaches Entertainment District of Atlantic & Neptune Beach, our guests enjoy fine restaurants, entertaining nightlife and specialty shopping all within walking distance.

Job Description

What you will be doing

• Prepare schedules for the staff and complete the work distribution report, ensuring all sections are covered.


• Thoroughly inspect guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure they are cleaned according to company standards.


• Assist with room cleaning when required for the operation.


• Train and supervise all new associates and provide on-going training for current staff.


• Check for early make-ups, special requests and VIPs.


• Maintain proper written records for lost and found.


• Run a departure report and recheck all rooms showing up in your assigned section.


• Write up work orders for all repairs and immediately report any broken door locks or safety hazards to management for immediate attention.


• Maintain inventory of guest supplies, linens, and cleaning products.

Requirements

What we are looking for

• Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel.


• At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Ability to inspect rooms to a high standard.


• Excellent communication and leadership skills.


• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


• Comfortable using hotel property management systems and housekeeping reports.


• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs throughout the shift.


• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Preferred Experience

• Hotel housekeeping experience (required).


• Experience inspecting rooms and coaching associates.


• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
