Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a Housekeeping Leader/Inspector to oversee daily operations in the Housekeeping and Laundry departments at our Massachusetts location. The role involves inspecting guestrooms, preparing VIP rooms, and coordinating with other departments to sustain high cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of housekeeping leadership or inspector experience, is bilingual (Spanish/English), and can manage schedules and safety standards

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalence.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in housekeeping leadership or Inspector/ress role.
  • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of opening and closing of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel guestrooms on a daily basis to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Prepare and monitor VIP rooms, special guests, and requests.
  • Coordinate departments’ activities to facilitate communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor vacant rooms, check-out rooms, and stayovers and communicate with the front office.
  • Lead daily stand-up and pre-shift meetings.
  • Ensure safety standards and brand policies are followed.

Job description

  • Comply at all timeswith Brand standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Manage the daily operations of opening and closing of theHousekeeping and Laundrydepartments.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel guestrooms ondailybasis to ensure adherence tocleanliness,maintenance standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained.
  • Prepare andmonitorVIP rooms, specialguests ,and requests.
  • Coordinatedepartment’sactivities with other departments tofacilitateincreased levels of communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitors vacant rooms, check out rooms, and stayovers and communicatespertinent information with the front office.
  • Maintain a complete andaccurateset of logs and room status.
  • Responsible for assigning or reassigning roomliststo room attendants.
  • Support and supervise the assignments of houseperson and laundry attendants.
  • Issues proper keys to authorized personnel.
  • Trainingon cleanliness standards.
  • Lead dailystand upand pre-shift meetings.
  • Promote the rules and regulations of the hotel intended for the safety and welfare of guests.
  • Beaware ofand respond topossible situationswith guestsregardingcleanliness of hotel public areas and guestrooms.
  • Monitor quality and cleanliness Brand standards andmeetthe expectations of the guestson a daily basis.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Manages lobby areas, including overall maintenance, daily upkeep, and cleanliness.
  • Provides services that areabove and beyondfor customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensureassociates have supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms necessary to perform their jobs.
  • Serves as a role model todemonstrateappropriate behaviors.
  • Carries out supervisor responsibilitiesin accordance withhotel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Train and develop associates on 4 Keys service standards, technical skills, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
  • Ensure all associates aresafetyconscious and trained in safe work practices.
  • Ensure associates exceed service and cleanliness standards.
  • Fosters open channels of communication between all employees.
  • Follow alladditionalduties asassigned by management.

  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop,squatand stretch to fulfill cleaning/inspection tasks.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing,listeningand hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use andoperateall necessary equipment.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

Education: High School diploma or GED equivalence

Experience: Minimum 1 years’ experience inhousekeepingleadership or Inspector/ressrole.

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently to assist guests
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
  • Ability to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneel
