Job summary

Peregrine TH Management, LLC is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping operations in assigned sections and to assume Housekeeping Manager duties in their absence. The role emphasizes maintaining high standards and coordinating with Front Office and Engineering.

The candidate will inspect work, manage daily assignments, and train staff while supporting a safe and efficient work environment. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, or holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of progressive experience in a resort or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate housekeeping functions in assigned sections and coordinate with Front Office and Engineering as needed.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and ensure timely submission to Housekeeping Office.
• Inspect Room Attendants’ work performance daily to ensure standards and productivity.
• Carry an active radio for communication with Front Office/Engineering during shift.
• Initiate and follow up on repair work orders with Engineering.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects as scheduled and adhere to safety rules.
• Oversee VIP room inspections in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Job description

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections, as well as assuming all Housekeeping Manager functions in their absence.

Essential Functions:

• Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
• Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
• Inspect Room Attendant’s work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure the standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained.
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, inspect all V.I.P. rooms and report their availability to the Front Office, according to resort standards.
• Oversee the closing of the floors at the end of the day, ensuring the Room Attendants’ carts are clean and restocked.
• Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off and turned into the Housekeeping Office on time.
• Handle items for \"Lost and Found\" according to the standards.
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Room Attendants’ carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings.
• Oversee the daily assignment of duties, ensuring Room Attendants and House Attendants carry a work assignment.
• Carry an active radio to maintain contact with the Front Office and/or Engineering throughout the shift.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance and forward to Engineering. Follow through on each work order until completed.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects as scheduled.
• Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Working Conditions and Schedule

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required, including nights, weekends or holidays.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to stand during entire shift.
• Sitting, bending, squatting, stretching, excessive walking.
• May have exposure to chemicals.
