Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping and laundry duties in our Dubuque skilled nursing community. You will apply institutional housekeeping practices, supervise staff, and partner with the care team to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.

You’ll be valued for empathy, reliability, and a commitment to infection control.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of institutional housekeeping practices and standards.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills.
• Carry out daily housekeeping and laundry duties following established task lists and procedures.
• Complete assignments timely, completely, and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Adhere to sanitation and infection prevention while collaborating with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily housekeeping operations and laundry duties according to standards.
• Supervise and develop housekeeping staff, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with care team to maintain cleanliness and safety across the facility.
• Ensure schedules are followed and area sanitation is maintained.
