Job summary

Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island is seeking a detail-focused Housekeeping team member to help maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for all visitors and staff.

This role works nights and weekends, with weekday hours 4 PM–9 PM and weekend hours 7 AM–2 PM, and occasional event coverage in the evenings.

You will clean floors, sanitize surfaces, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas, maintain logs, restock supplies, and report safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Keep floors spotless by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Sanitize and disinfect surfaces to maintain a healthy environment.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to sparkle.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and guest-ready.
• Clean and sanitize staff kitchens and dining spaces.
• Dust, wipe, and polish surfaces throughout the facility.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling efficiently.
• Maintain cleaning logs for quality and consistency.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Identify safety concerns and report maintenance or repair issues.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and facility-wide initiatives.
• Follow health and safety procedures and best practices.
• Pitch in wherever needed to help keep the building running smoothly.
