Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Memphis, Tennessee invites applications for a Housekeeper. You will clean common living areas and resident apartments, with emphasis on bathrooms and common spaces, and support laundry duties as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior housekeeping experience, the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and a courteous, team-oriented attitude. Flexible weekends and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous housekeeping experience is highly desired.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be polite and courteous to residents, visitors, and staff.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs).
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of the facility, focusing on common areas and apartment bathrooms.
• Complete maintenance request reports when needed.
• Report deterioration or damage to housekeeping supervisor.
• Operate laundry equipment as needed.
• Report insufficient cleaning supplies to housekeeping supervisor.
• Use approved cleaning products and store supplies properly.
• Clean office areas when assigned.
• Dust window blinds and furniture in resident areas.
• Vacuum common areas and resident apartments.
• Maintain clean common areas and resident bathrooms.
• Clean apartments at move-out.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.
