Job summary

El Rio Grande Latin Market is seeking a dedicated housekeeping associate to maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment in Fort Worth, Texas. The role focuses on sanitation of sinks, toilets, floors, and general surfaces, while ensuring proper handling and storage of chemicals per safety policies.

The position requires physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift typical cleaning loads, with teamwork and strict attention to safety.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year housekeeping experience preferably in a grocery store or equivalent.
• Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with or without supervision.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Accountable and responsible for maintaining a safety culture (following all SOP’s, SDS, Policies and Procedures) as set out by El Rio Grande Latin Market.
• Cleaning tasks include, but are not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping/moping, cleaning washrooms, closets, windows and mirrors.
• Clean and sanitize. This is to include and is not limited to sinks, toilets and floors.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized housekeeping cart which is to be equipped with necessary PPE.
• Ensure all chemicals are dispensed, used, and stored in compliance with the El Rio Grande Latin Market and Safety Data Sheets program, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in restocking and maintaining the cleanliness of the housekeeping areas to include the office’s, training, and break room.
• Attending all safety meetings and participating in El Rio Grande Latin Market emergency response procedures.
• Additional duties may be assigned by the Store Director or department manager.
