Job summary

Salamander Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector- Supervisor in Charleston, SC. The role oversees the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department and ensures timely completion of tasks by room attendants, turndown attendants, and house persons.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Excel and Word is preferred, with the ability to coach staff and work productively in a

Must be able to coach, develop employees through basic skills and supervision.
Must be able to motivate by example on the production floor or in a classroom environment.
Aptitude to promote minimum levels of skills to create positive outcomes in challenging environments.
Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and follow-through.

Responsibilities

Supervise, direct and assure completion of all housekeeping tasks for room attendants, turndown attendants and housepersons, maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Assist guests as needed and work in a strong team environment.
Be flexible to work all shifts and days of the week.
Basic knowledge of the hotel to ensure timeliness of customer needs outlined in Pre-Shift.
