Job summary

COMMONWEALTH LODGING MANAGEMENT LLC is seeking a Public Space Attendant for Hilton Garden Inn Home2 Suites Downtown Columbia, SC. You will clean and maintain designated areas to uphold hotel standards and assist guests as needed.

Physical stamina is required to perform duties, with shifts that may include extended standing and varied hours. Salary is $17.00 per hour, and the property operates seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or Work Equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Requires computer skills; good understanding of English and communication skills.

Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.00 Hourly

The Public Space Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all items and surfaces in designated areas, ensuring hotels' standards of cleanliness. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day.

Physical responsibilities

Physical responsibilities include

• Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 25 pounds.
• Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds.
• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Work environment - front office, and all areas of the hotel.
• The job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time.
• Work environment - Guest Rooms, Guest and Service Corridors, Housekeeping Office.
• Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor settings, and around fumes and/or odor hazards, dust and/or mite hazards, biohazards and chemicals.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time.
• Must be able to reach above head and shoulder height to perform job duties.
