Brookdale Senior Living seeks a Housekeeping Director to lead all housekeeping operations within a community, ensuring high cleanliness standards and safety for residents and staff. The role supervises staff, schedules programs, and manages inventories and budgets, while enforcing regulatory guidelines and quality controls.

As a senior leader, you will plan staffing, train personnel, and coordinate with the executive team to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory/management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manages all housekeeping operations within a community to ensure high cleanliness standards inside and outside the community.
• Supervises housekeeping staff, directly or through subordinate managers, and may supervise other positions.
• Plans and schedules cleaning programs, including annuals, move-in preparations, and carpet cleaning.
• Oversees inventory control for supplies, chemicals, and equipment; ensures safe handling and storage.
• Develops and monitors department budget including purchasing and staffing expenditures; approves orders.
• Schedules and conducts training sessions and department meetings for housekeeping personnel.
• Ensures staff is trained on safe handling of cleaning chemicals and regulatory compliance.
• Hires, trains, disciplines, and terminates department employees as needed; may consult with Executive Director.
• May assist with cleaning duties when needed to maintain operations.
• Maintains a safe working environment and prevents accidents, preserving equipment.
