Purpose of the Role:

Reading Vitality Hotel is looking for a Housekeeping Manager with excellent customer service skills to join our team! This role will supervise the housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies. The manager will report to the Head of Hotel Operations and collaborate closely to uphold departmental standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, including performance evaluations, training, and development.
• Assist in developing the department's annual budget.
• Implement cost control measures for staffing, inventories, and supplies.
• Enforce departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure quality service delivery and enhance guest relations.
• Direct hourly staff and contract labor across the department.
• Prepare daily work assignments for staff.
• Maintain cleanliness standards in guest rooms and public areas.
• Inspect and monitor cleanliness, report issues, and ensure corrective actions.
• Manage guest feedback and service scores.
• Conduct inventories and participate in supply ordering.
• Complete departmental projects as assigned by leadership.

• Ability to interpret policies and make informed decisions.
• Excellent tact and courtesy in dealing with guests and staff.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
