Job summary

Sapphire Rehabilitation (formerly Arlington Court) seeks a Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The role requires independence, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and common areas, following facility procedures, and participating in required in-services. Prior long-term care or hotel experience is preferred, with emphasis on infection control and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to think and work independently and communicate with staff in fast-paced environments.
• Prior experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Prior experience in a hotel environment is preferred.
• Prior experience with isolation / infection control is preferred.

• Dust, clean, vacuum, and mop patient rooms and general areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Follow facility policies and procedures and attend required staff in-services.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to their work, able to work independently, and detail oriented.

Housekeeping Aide Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Dusting, cleaning, vacuuming, and mopping of equipment, patient rooms, general areas.
• Detail Oriented.
• Able to work independently.
• Maintain a clean & safe work environment in compliance with State & Federal laws & regulations.
• Follow Facility policies & procedures.
• Attend required staff in-services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to think and work independently and with direction and communicate with staff. members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current identification.
• Excellent personal hygiene.

Experience:

• Prior experience in long term care is preferred.
• Prior experience in hotel environment is preferred.
• Prior experience with Isolation / Infection control is preferred.
