Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and provide direction to department employees.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels for cleaning, laundry, and supplies.
• Order supplies within the department's budget.
• Monitor departmental expenses and assist with budget management.
• Ensure resident rooms and common areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Ensure resident clothing and linens are labeled, cleaned, and returned appropriately.
• Respond promptly to resident, family, employee, and visitor concerns.
• Collaborate with nursing, maintenance, and other team members.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties.

Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor (working) (Maintenance)

General Purpose

Coordinates and performs housekeeping services to ensure a high standard of cleanliness both inside and outside the community. Assists staff in completing housekeeping duties as needed.

Essential Duties

• Supervise and support housekeeping and laundry team members.
• Prepare employee schedules and ensure appropriate daily staffing.
• Assign work and follow up to ensure duties are completed properly and on time.
• Train, coach, and provide direction to department employees.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels for cleaning, laundry, and departmental supplies.
• Order supplies while remaining within the department's budget.
• Monitor departmental expenses and assist with budget management.
• Ensure resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility areas are clean and properly maintained.
• Ensure resident clothing and facility linens are labeled, handled, cleaned, and returned appropriately.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident, family, employee, and visitor concerns.
• Work collaboratively with nursing, maintenance, dietary, administration, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, infection prevention practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification

Education and/or Experience
