Job summary

Autumn Ridge, operated by American Senior Communities, is seeking a Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor to lead and coordinate the housekeeping and laundry staff. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation and a homelike environment for residents, staff and visitors.

The supervisor will plan, organize and direct day-to-day operations, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining high standards of care and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in an institutional housekeeping department.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct housekeeping and laundry staff operations.
• Lead, supervise and mentor aides on a daily basis to ensure safety and standards.

The Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor plays a key role in providing the residents, staff and public with a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment by planning, organizing, and directing the housekeeping and laundry staff operations in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Skills Needed

• Leadership: The ability to lead and motivate others to follow proper safety and environmental regulations. Monitors, teaches, mentors and supervises housekeeping and laundry aides on a daily basis.
• Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.
• Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to provide cleaning and laundry services.
• Supportive Presence: Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.

Requirements

• One year of experience in an institutional housekeeping department.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
