Job summary

Visalia Post Acute is seeking a dependable Part-Time Laundry, Housekeeping & Janitorial Aide to join our environmental services team in Visalia, CA. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms and common areas, handling linens, and following infection control and safety procedures. We value reliable teamwork, strong customer service, and the ability to work weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, janitorial, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift supplies throughout the shift.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect assigned areas.
• Empty trash containers and replace liners.
• Clean windows, mirrors, fixtures, handrails, and frequently touched surfaces.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident and facility linens.
• Properly label, handle, and return resident clothing and personal laundry.
• Make beds and replace linens as assigned.
• Maintain laundry rooms, housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow infection control, sanitation, chemical safety, and facility procedures.
• Use caution signs and appropriate safety measures when cleaning.
• Monitor supplies and notify the supervisor when items need to be reordered.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with additional housekeeping, laundry, or janitorial duties as assigned.
