Job Description

What You Will Accomplish

Washes all soiled linens, towels, and napkins, or other assigned items, ensuring they are properly ironed, folded, and stocked according to department procedures and standards to exceed guest satisfaction. Maintains cleanliness of the laundry room and reports any damage, mechanical deficiencies, or suspicious activities.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

1. Exceed guest expectations.
2. Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
3. Wash and dry all linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management.
4. Learn, understand, and follow the proper operation of washing machines, dryers, and other equipment, including use of chemicals. Clean dryer filters daily and maintain all equipment as instructed.
5. Immediately report any repairs or maintenance needs of laundry equipment, guestroom, public areas, or back of the house areas.
6. Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority or refer to management.
7. Notify supervisor and/or security of unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or theft.
8. Notify management of problems resulting from guest complaints, intoxication, or disruptive behavior.
9. Perform duties of Room Attendant when needed.
10. Deliver linens to designated areas, restock housekeeping carts, and return found items to the department, logging details accordingly.
11. Report unsafe conditions, maintenance needs, and accidents to management.

What You Will Bring

Prior hotel or laundry experience is desirable. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work at a quick pace, grasp objects, reach, stoop, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity, environmental exposure to heat, humidity, noise, vibration, chemicals, and potential hazards are involved. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors.
