Job summary

Rolling Hills is seeking a part-time or full-time housekeeping and laundry aide to support daily facility operations. Training will be provided, and prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include following MSDS, operating housekeeping equipment safely, maintaining infection control, reporting equipment issues, and assisting in proper care of supplies and rooms as directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term nursing home setting preferred.
• Training is provided for housekeeping and laundry.
• High School Diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow MSDS and safety procedures.
• Operate housekeeping equipment safely.
• Perform cleaning procedures per facility policy.
• Observe waste disposal procedures per facility policy.
• Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Report areas in poor repair to supervisor.
• Use housekeeping supplies efficiently.
• Attend in-service training for housekeeping staff.
• Observe infection control procedures in housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Any experience floor cleaning / buffing / waxing is a plus
• Will train for housekeeping and laundry
• One year experience in a long-term Nursing Home facility (preferred)
• High School Diploma

Job Duties

• Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS).
• Operate housekeeping equipment safely.
• Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
• Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy; follow directions.
• Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor.
• Report any observed area in poor repair to supervisor.
• Use housekeeping supplies efficiently.
• Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping employees.
• Observe infection control procedures related to Housekeeping Department.
• Perform other related duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
