Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to support patient care areas.

You will clean patient rooms, operating rooms, and related spaces, ensuring safe, sanitary conditions and timely turnover between patients. The role requires adherence to infection control policies, proper waste handling, and coordinating with nursing and support staff to maintain cleanliness across hospital departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year experience within healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms after vaginal deliveries, separating/removing waste as per policy.
• Cleans operating rooms after each case and performs terminal cleaning as per policy.
• Transports labs as needed in a timely manner.
• Transports, discharges patients in a timely manner.
• Cleans wheelchairs after each patient use.
• Maintains linen cart organized, neat, and covered.
• Maintains cleanliness of patient pantry areas, lounges, restrooms, call rooms, and offices daily.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 year healthcare experience preferred

We welcome all healthcare professionals to join our thriving community and contribute to our pursuit for clinical excellence.**Department:****Job Description Summary:**## Position Responsibilities* Cleans patient rooms after vaginal deliveries, separating/removing waste as per policy.* Cleans operating rooms after each case and performs terminal cleaning as per policy.* Transports labs as needed in a timely manner.* Transports, discharges patients in a timely manner.* Cleans wheelchairs after each patient use.* Passes and picks up meal trays as requested.* Monitors use of cleaning supplies, advises supervisor with reordering needs.* Maintains linen cart organized, neat, and covered.* Maintains cleanliness of patient pantry areas, lounges, restrooms, call rooms, and offices daily, and breast pumps/ rooms.* Is knowledgeable and adheres to infant abduction prevention program.* Follows Bereavement policy.
